Bored at Your Desk? Beat One of These World Records

September 20, 2011 Posted by Emily Miethner

Here at RecordSetter we encourage everyone to get involved in setting world records. We also understand that you are a busy individual. That being said, each week we’re going to bring you three world records you can beat while sitting at your desk; right here, right now. No excuses, play like a champion.

Most Cats Drawn On One Hand

This world record started with one lonely cat drawn on a child’s hand and has blown up to 247, drawn on the hand of college student Alyssa Weissman of Burlington, Vermont. Solidifying her dedication to this record, she drew the cats and checked them off with permanent marker.

Longest Coin Domino Chain

Rob Costa of Quincy, Massachusetts displayed patience and endurance while setting up this fun to watch world record; a domino chain of 40 nickels successfully toppling. But don’t worry, you don’t have to display that same patience to watch. Costa was kind enough to submit a time lapse video of the process and success.

Long Lasting Record #88: Most Consecutive Jumps Back And Forth Over One’s Leg In An Office

Now I’ll admit, this takes some flexibility that we’re not all blessed with, but this record is ready to be broken for those agile enough. Best part? If you hold the record on October 11th, you’ll win $500.

Prefer to start a new world record category? Here are a few suggestions.
